What Flowers to Give on Easter?

Are you giving gifts this Easter holiday to the people you care about? A lovely bouquet or basket of the freshest spring flowers would certainly put a smile on their faces. But, you wouldn’t want to give something that would be lost in translation.

Every flower and its color have different meanings. You may want to give them because they look pretty. However, thinking about the symbolism behind these flowers wouldn’t hurt.

To help you decide, here’s a Fiesta Flowers guide on what flowers to give to whom on Easter.

Flower language

For the significant other

No doubt that your partner will appreciate anything you give him/her. But, nothing says “I love you” better than a nice bouquet of Tulips.

They come in nearly every hue of the rainbow. You can pick out her favorite color, but white and pink tulips would make your feelings standout more.

For parents

A traditional Easter blossom like the Lily can bring a peaceful and uplifting mood to any home. This makes it a great gift for any parent on Easter.

Lilies represent love, hope, and purity. White Lilies (aka Easter Lilies) are symbolic for Christian Easter celebrations. If your parents are Christians, you may want to consider giving them these white beauties.

Giving Carnations is also an option, especially for mothers. These flowers are popular gifts during Mother’s Day. But, there’s no rule that says you can’t show appreciation to your mother during Easter.

For friends

Choosing flowers for your friends would depend on their personality and your relationship with them. If you’re “besties” for life, Daffodils would be wonderful to give. They can symbolize true love and friendship.

If your friend has been through a lot of hardships, a nice arrangement of Daisies would be lovely. Daisies express new beginnings and high energy. Wishing them to start anew from their struggles with some Daisies would uplift their spirits.

Have you had a big fight with a friend and want to apologize? Do it with a basket of purple Hyacinths. Just try to avoid giving yellow Hyacinths because they symbolize jealousy. This might worsen the tension between you and your friend.

For siblings and children

There are various flowers you can give to your siblings and children. It depends on what you want to tell them. You can give them Tulips to show your love or a whole lot of Daffodils to show your respect.

You may want to get your hands on some Azalea. When given during Easter, these flowers mean that you want the recipients to keep themselves safe.

You don’t have to stick to one kind of flower when giving out gifts on Easter. An arrangement of various kinds and colors of flowers would make a wonderful gift. You can mix and match different types and colors of flowers if you want to say a lot of things to your recipient.

Arranging and matching flowers isn’t an easy task. If you’re clueless as to how it’s done, you can get a ready-made arrangement from Fiesta Flowers Plants & Gifts. You can browse through many beautiful arrangements and have them delivered directly to your loved one’s home.
